We came Runners-Up in Division Five also winning the Blackbrook Fatty Arbuckles Six A Side Competition in the same season. The following year we entered a Reserve side in the 5th Division and the First Team won the Fourth Division, the League's Sportsmanship Award and the League's Linesman Award. In the 1998/99 season the Reserves this time won the League's Sportmanship Award and the First Team were Runner's up in the 3rd Division and were Gardner Cup Finalists. In 1999/2000, our fourth in the League the Reserves won the Sportsmanship Award again making it three years in succession for the Club and also came Runners-up in Division Five. The First team became Division Two Champions, won the Rose Bowl Competition and were finalists in the Rowbarton Cup. We became the first club in the Leagues history to win promotion on merit from the fifth to the first division in successive seasons. We also were awarded the Sunday Independent Team of the Day award for our victory over the then Division One Champions Sydenham in the Rowbarton Cup. In 2000/2001 the first team finished third in the top flight at their first attempt and won the League's Best Linesman award and picked up another Sunday Independent Team of the Day award for our victory over the division leaders Bridgwater Sports. In 2001/2002 the First Team again won the West Somerset Rose Bowl and also the League Sportsmanship award for the fourth time in five years. In 2002/2003 season the Firsts equalled their best league position finishing third in the top flight, The Reserves and The Colts both won promotion so that we will be playing in Division One, Two and Three next season. The Colts won the Clifford Pryce Trophy for scoring more goals than any other League Team without winning another trophy outright. The First Team were semi-finalists in the Somerset Junior Cup as well as the League Knock Out Cup. The 2003/4 season was the first in the Club's history where we didn't win a trophy with the First Team finishing sixth, the lowest to date. The Reserves and Colts both finished one place off the bottom of their divisions but avoided relegation so we will play in the top three divisions again next season. Our Groundsman Den Bishop won the Somerset FA Groundsman of the Year award. In 2004/5 The Reserves were the most successful finishing third in Division Two, the other two teams finishing in the bottom two places in Divisions One and Three but both avoided relegation so yet again we look forward to playing in the top three divisions with our three teams. Season 2005/6 was the club's most successful to date with all three teams in a position to win their respective divisions in the last month of the season. The first team did exactly that becoming League Champions, the Reserves ended fifth and the Colts drew their last game finishing third, had they won they would have been third Division Champions. In 2006/7 both the First Team and Reserves picked up silverware with the First Team winning the Knock Out Cup and the Reserves became the Division Two champions. The Club is very proud to have won 23 trophies in eleven seasons and in particular our record of having teams in the top five of the sportsmanship award so often. It is our aim to welcome our opponents and officials to the Grove where we will be competitive but fair and our record suggests we are being successful at both, long may it continue.
